DAVAO CITY — Local content creator Tor Bagtik is proving that his creativity extends far beyond his usual vlogs and controversies with the release of his latest YouTube music video.
And we can’t get his track “Duol sa Lord Ayaw sa Drug Lord” out of our heads, it’s well done with a visual 1990’s era US grunge feel. The video tells a story that’s still very relevant today, in the years after Duterte’s drug war. It’s catchy, and demonstrates Tor’s ability to combine a strong message with a beat that lingers in your mind long after listening. He’s a personal favorite for me, personally, as an expat writer for Davao Drift.
The new video, uploaded approximately five months ago, features Bagtik performing an original rap track, showcasing his skills in music, performance, and lyrical expression. Fans and followers have praised the video, noting that it highlights yet another side of his creative abilities.
Tor is as authentic as it gets; he says what he thinks, and people admire him for his no bullshit approach to his content. He isn’t always perfect –he’s human, he’s raw, and he’s paid the price for his honest expression of his world view.
Known primarily for his engaging online presence, Bagtik continues to explore new forms of content, using music and video to connect with his audience in fresh ways. This latest project underscores that he is more than a social media personality — he is a multi-talented creator willing to experiment and entertain across different mediums.
With this rap video, Bagtik adds to a growing list of projects that demonstrate his range, proving to fans that he can seamlessly move from comedy and lifestyle content to music and performance without missing a beat.
